7500' up on MT Adams...

Posting this from 7500' up on Mt Adams. It was getting nasty. Weather was like a blizzard all day, road was closed so that tacked on an extra 4 miles. The plan is to leave at 4am to try and summit. It's 3 miles and 5000' in elevation gain. Def Avi danger above 9000 with the new snow and wind. A small test pit showed a weak layer between the fresh snow and the old. We aren't going to push our luck. There is a winter storm warning till Sunday here but weather on rainier is supposed to be great next week! I'll update tomorrow...
